Spay Day U.S.A. 2006
What happens on Spay Day in Sacramento?
On Sunday, February 26, 2006, more than 800 Sacramento area volunteers
(veterinarians, veterinary technicians, assistants and animal welfare advocates)
joined together at MANY locations in THREE counties to spay and neuter up to 1,000
companion animals.
These surgeries for the area's neediest families will prevent the births of tens
of thousands of unwanted animals over the coming years!
This year Hatton Veterinary Hospital joined over 800 other Sacramento area volunteers
to help spay and neuter 18 cats and dogs in our area. The staff, doctors, and some
family members volunteered their Sunday morning, and the Hospital donated supplies
and medication to help prevent unwanted births.
You can learn more about this very successful community event by visiting the
Sacrament Area Animal Coalition website.
