National Registered Veterinary Technician Week
The first week in October was National Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) Week.
At Hatton Veterinary Hospital we have 5 RVT's to honor.
They play a very important role in our hospital. Some of the duties they perform include:
- client education
- laboratory procedures
- radiology
- dental cleanings
- assisting with surgical procedures
- monitoring anesthesia
- vaccinations
Let's get to know our RVT'S at Hatton:
Judy has been a licensed technician for 24 yrs. and has worked at
Hatton Veterinary Hospital for 12 yrs. She is happily married,
has 4 children (Kellie, Tadashi,
Sheri, and Akemi) and 2 dogs - a black Labrador named "Ninja"
and a Queensland Heeler named "Tanner". Judy's family keeps her and her
husband very busy, especially with all of the sports activities that her
children are involved in. Judy is also is very active in her church, where
she teaches Sunday School and coaches basketball.
Lisa has been a licensed technician for 2 yrs. and has worked at
Hatton Veterinary Hospital for 11 yrs. Lisa is also happily married
with a family that consists of 2 miniature Australian Shepherds
(Bibby & Peja), 3 black and white cats (Oreo, Simba, and Danica)
and a Russian Tortoise (Gracie). She sometimes volunteers
with "Lend A Heart" (pet therapy), and loves to attend
Sacramento Kings games. GO KINGS!
Suzanne has been a licensed technician for 8 yrs. and has worked for
Hatton Veterinary Hospital for 12 yrs. Suzanne has a wonderful
family that consists of a Rottweiler (Trygg) and a Chihuahua mix
(Jezzabelle), and has a six-pack of cats (Roxi, Lyza Jane,
Gracey, Giacamo, Miller and Jackson). In her spare time she likes
to watch movies and baseball. GO RED SOX!
Wendy has been a licensed technician for 2 yrs. and has worked for
Hatton Veterinary Hospital for 11 yrs. Wendy is happily married
with a family consisting of a daughter (Sydney), a Golden
Retriever (Haley), 2 Paint horses, and one Miniature horse. Wendy
not only keeps busy with her family, but she also barrel races and
competes in other timed speed events with the California
Gymkhana Association where she has been riding for the past 17 yrs.
Elaine Braden
Elaine has been a licensed technician for 10 yrs. and has worked for
Hatton Veterinary Hospital for 2 yrs. She is also working at the
UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine in the Dentistry
department. She has a wonderful family that consists of s son
(Phillip), 2 cats (Maurice & C.J.) and a Spaniel mix (Dexter).
